A story about grief and the way memory blurs the line between presence and absence. To visualize that, we developed an in-camera approach inspired by Victorian double-exposure ghost photography. We recorded three separate versions of each scene with each actor, then compositing the layers in post to create images where figures occupy the same space at different levels of opacity. In the color suite, I extended that logic further, using selective power windows to introduce localized grain and shimmer effects that mimic the light leaks and degradation of old photographic prints. The goal was to make the image itself feel like a memory.
