Shot on Arri Alexa Mini w/ Angineux EZ zooms & Arri SR2 w/ Zeiss Contax Zooms
Meadowhawk was built on a simple conviction: let the world look like itself. We lit and shot as naturalistically as possible, resisting the conventions that typically announce "this is cinematography": no motivated backlight where it wouldn't exist, no beauty diffusion, no stylized color temperature. The opening sequence was captured on an Arri SR2 on Kodak 500T, and that texture became the reference point for the entire film's grade. Using the original 16mm scans as my baseline, I developed a film emulation pipeline in the color suite that carried the grain structure, halation, and tonal response of the celluloid footage across the digitally shot material, creating a cohesive image that feels organically filmic from first frame to last.
